That being said, you can back off the volume and plug a Tele (or in the clip below, an old Guild Freshamn with a P90) into it and get a really nice clean tone.probably not as 'loud' of a clean as the Super 7 but a very nice clean nonetheless.

The Unibox is definately a crunch machine and will do that beautiful sustainy feedback thing. I've owned some old Fender tweed stuff with a single 8' that didn't do it for me personally (I'll be hung for that comment).Īs for a comparison between the Super 7 and the Unibox, the Super 7 is more of a baby Super 17 with a much smoother overdrive (to my ears at least, but again, I have an early Super 17.some of the newer ones might break up differently). Probably oughta qualify that.I love little low watt amps that still sound big (which perfectly describes the 2/7 and the Unibox). I love my Super 17 but I have an affinity for little low watt amps.always have. I own the Super 7 proto and the Unibox proto (as well as an early Super 17) and without question, the Super 7 and the Unibox are two of my favorite amps in my collection.
